Distortions in nXt renderd AutCAD Architecture Curved Walls

Please see the attached images.

In AutoCAD Architecture's native renderer, and in its 3d display, the curved walls appear smooth.  In nXt the materials are uneven (with sometimes extra lines that protrude from the walls).  Distortions also appear in straight walls which should be flat and smooth though the problem is less pronounced.

I tried changing the material definitions but the problem persists.

Could this be some sort of scale definition issue?

The problem persists with all the rendering engines (standard path and hybrid).

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

This is typically a units problem or a coordinate system problem.  Check the units by typing _DDUNITS at the command line and looking at the insertion units.  If they're correct, make sure the model is not located too far from the origin.  Coordinate systems such as "state plane" will not work correctly with nXt-- the model will have to be moved closer to the origin.

Yes, Roy, the units were correctly set but the model was very far from the origin (forgot about that issue).  Looks fine now.  Thanks very much for your prompt reply.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
