AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi, I'm new on nXt and trying out tge evaluation version. I have assigned materials to my layers but they don't show when I render. I am only ably to render using object colors. How can I render with assigned materials showing?

post a small model so we see what you are doing wrong and be able offer solutions

Try this for general layer material assignment issues.

If you are using AutoCAD Architecture and trying to assign materials to components such as window frames, the bottom of this page has an explanation of how to assign material to ACA components.

Let me know if either of these work for you.

Thanks a lot Roy. Very helpful. I changed the settings under Style manager (set surface rendering to 'bylayer') and it worked.

"Looks like there's no file name.  Try saving the drawing to a file first, then run ArStudio.  This is a bug, obviously.  Thanks."
