AccuRender nXt

Dear all,

please have a look at the attached jpg. Nxt material icons with no preview. This occured after re-installing Auto CAD and nXt. Any idea anyone?

I see that until I switch to Medium icons:

I am using windows 10 so the View selector is on the toolbar.

What is your File Explorer View set to?

Medium icons, I am affraid...

See attached jpg.

I followed Roy's instruction very carefuly:

  • cd c:\Program files\AccuRender nxt
  • regsvr32 armatthumb64.dll,

But to na avail - it didn't work. The message "function succeded" appeared, an I still see the blank icons - for both materials and trees.

Any other idea?

To test all this, first I uninstalled the thumbnail program.

To do that, I just typed in (in an Administrator command window):

cd c:\Program files\AccuRender nxt

then I used the /u switch to uninstall, as below::

regsvr32 /u armatthumb64.dll

and it showed me that the uninstall was successful. And I verified that I no longer had the large thumbnails working in Explorer.

Then, to install the thunbnail provider again, I typed in:

regsvr32 armatthumb64.dll

and it said that was successful.

But I still did not have the large thumbnails, even though I had closed and reopened the Explorer window (a couple of times).

So I rebooted. And after the reboot, the large thumbnails were working again!

So try rebooting.

Rich, Thank you, icons are back! It works.

I tried rebooting yesterday as well, to no avail, but the crucial issue was /u parameter I guess.

Great!

Thanks for the update.

Hopefully I can remember  or find this answer again, the next time this question surfaces.

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
