Changing the displacements to bump, turning off the two light sources (not helping and a major source of fireflies), and changing the ceramic and water materials a little, yielded the following (converged quickly--except for the sink which still needs more work):…</p>

Displacement mapping will slow you down a lot, cause numerous problems such as aliasing and precision, and add very little to the overall quality for most applications.
