AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

AutoCAD 2018

Windows 7 Professional

Latest versions of nXt Render and nXt Studio.

Material image based textures and decals are not being translated from AutoCAD to Studio.

Also, the render named view is there, but it doesn't carry the resolution. This has to be set separately.

These are 10 physical cores, correct?

4 nodes each with dual 10 core processors. So 20 physical cores per node.

Latest test, they're all running at around 90%.

I can't explain it.  It looks like it's generally working.

I'll revisit the farm in a week or so with some new ideas.  These machines you have are so powerful that it may make sense to run multiple instances of the farm nodes instead.  Also, I may revisit the strategy of holding everything in the shared output folder.  This may be creating unnecessary network traffic.  For cloud rendering everything is downloaded to the local node, then uploaded once the job completes.  This approach may make much more sense.

BTW, do you have the latest version of the renderplus stuff (nXtRender ?)

Yes, we've just upgraded today.

"That's what I did too. I installed the older version of AccuRender that you're running, but it works fine for me. Wen you have a chance, could you let it run for maybe a half hour and see if it ever returns?"

"Yes it does exist. I am using nxt to add groundcover and browsing for the file. It stops when loading file."

"That groundcover file works for me. I assume that we are trying to fine the image file for the grass on you machine, and looking everywhere if we cannot find it, and that is taking forever to do the search. On my machine, that image file is located…"
