Thanks Andrew. It seems to happen when a material is applied to an angular object. I've tried using it as a planar material with some success, but a lot of time messing about.

<p>I've run across this myself when applying wood materials to exposed joists from time to time, I couldn't tell you the why or even a direct how to fix this (correctly), but I've taken to simply slicing the area and applying a copied material of with the orientation rotated 90 degrees, on occasion this same problem will occur to blocks on objects rotated diagonally as well. Hope that is of some help to you.</p>
