AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I know AccuRender can be purchased by students at a student rate when you show proof of your ID and school.  I was wondering if Accurender Nxt has a student rate as well.  Thank you!

We don't have anything currently. I'll talk to Bob about it.
Not yet. If we do, it will be $195 so my suggestion is that you buy before the price increase.

any news about a special price students license for accurender nxt?

I've seen it for nxt for revit byt not for autocad

thanks

Not yet-- I'll talk to Bob next week.
Roy, have you asked Bob about a special price for students?

Hi Roy,

I to am interested in the possibility of a student discount. I currently teach AutoCAD 2011, 2D design and 3D modelling and would like to introduce rendering. I have 60 students and the current price for my students is a little high considering they are using AutoCAD 2011 educational copy for free.

Having used Accurender in the past I am now considering returning to it as I am really impressed by the quality of Accurender nXt.

To me I would love that too, thinking I bought mine for $79, but the nag version does as much as the licensed one so fire on and when they need to go professional, they show their client and let them know to get it any better, they have to dish out. I am it beats having lines drawn in front of the rendering like AR4.
We've done some nXt lab licenses for teachers.  I'll pass this on to the people at McNeel.  The eval version is certainly a possibility.

Thanks Akinlolu and Roy for your feedback,

I agree Akinlolu that the nXt nag with its low resolution is an improvement on AR4, which was a real bore.

As an educator I do a lot of research and development and test the software myself (hence the reason I am online here at the weekend!!)  Often purchasing software at my own expense before I recommend it to my College to purchase student licences for the software. I feel that software manufacturers should provide fully functional software free to educators who after all promote the software to schools/colleges/universities and ultimately future users....

Roy how do I get a copy of the nXt lab license??

I don't know off-hand.  Like I said-- I'll pass the request on to the people at McNeel next week.

Any update on the student pricing? I saw the last post about it was back in March...

I don't think so.  I can ask again.  There wasn't a lot of enthusiasm for it the last time I checked.

"Those are all very nice pictures Maciej, well done! Are those renewed older buildings or new housing development?"
