AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

A few people have asked about my interior set up for rendering.

I'm quite happy to share a model with lighting and materials for anyone to download and use as a template.

The zipped up file is about 15Mb. I thought of putting it on the Accustudio site, but there's a 5Mb limit.

Any ideas?

How many passes are we looking at here?
I left it running overnight.
About 6000.

My pc will have to run for a week non-stop fro a week to achieve that.
That's the big problem with interiors and Pathtracer.

On which hardware?
I have 2 quad cores running at 2.66GHz, Windows Vista Ultimate and 12Gb RAM.

Peter
One quad more and 4Gb RAM and I 'll make good job ... ;o)
dunno... we did borrow 2xquad for testing and... yes, it IS faster, but not THAT faster... we decided we either stay on what we got (1xquad maximum) or we buy something even faster... scenario 1 means use of Farm, scenario 2 means we would not need it...
Amazing...Thanks for sharing.

Perspective between 3D model and background image on NXT autocad 2015

Hi, I would like to insert my 3D model on an image in background, obviously with the correct position, size and perspective lines. Is there a method to move the 3D model to adapt it at the image in background? At the moment i can only try to setting the position of my 3D model with the Autocad camera and launch the render to control if the position is correct, but it's impossible to find it. I must render my 3D model and put it in my image with Photoshop. Not a great result.Look down here, the…See More

RenderFarm passes and tasks

Got a strange glitch here.On one of our PCs, when sending a render to the Farm, the option to change the number of tasks is greyed out and stuck on 10. However, when a job is sent to the farm, it is automatically broken into 25 tasks. The PC is running the latest versions of nXt and the Farm and has been working perfectly up to  now.Any ideas?See More
