The grass is displacement.  The ground cover I downloaded from the accurender website, and modified it with the included plant editor (all the textures and pic files are included in the plant libraries).  The rugs are all displacement textures on 3d faces with rug decals applied;  the displacement rug texture did not work on a solid, as it projected sideways.  In the plant vases, the earth texture is also displacement.

Very lovely!

  • Is the grass ground cover or displacement?
  • What of the cover plant on the grass?
  • The rug would be wonderful as displacement on a solid.

"Here is the cad file.  I had to dump a lot out of it to make it small enough to posted but the result is the same.  The wall does not render with the brick material that is assigned to it.  Does anyone know what i am doing wrong?"

Missing material assignments

I have a file that I rendered IN ACA 2014, using an older version of NXT, not sure how to tell which build I used.  I then got a computer upgrade and tried to run a rendering of the same file using ACA 2014 and a newly purchased version of NXT, not sure which version on this one either.  The rendering rendered correctly on my old machine, but on the new machine the ACA walls, doors and windows are all grey.  I tried to attach my cad file and rendering images but I exceeded the 5mb limit so I…See More

"AutoCAD handles the mapping now.  It usually survives xref'ing-- though it may behave a little differently than before.  Same is true for materials."

"Thanks to everyone for all the support! Mike, while I will have to experiment, the issue is that the mapping changes when the model (a building) is xrefed into the site plan. In the building model it is just fine. Jeff"
