Is it normal that we have reached build 326 and that we have not seen any significant changes since build 317.

I cant use your addons because im using autocad 2008.

please take a looks at my interface for the build 326, where can I find the Layer Scheme button you are talking about?

thank you

Autodesk has made it more difficult to develop for R17 (2007-2009).  We are still looking into this-- but it is possible that many new features will only be available for R18 (2010) or later.

Release of new features has been slightly slower due to the logistics of the change in ownership.  This should change-- we have a larger development team now.

We posted a new version, 0327, in which the new Layer Materials Scheme dialog is working for AutoCAD versions 2007, 2008 and 2009.

I tested it in those versions here, but would appreciate any help we can get in testing in in the real world.

It can be downloaded here:

Thanks.

how about nxt for revit, no new version, you still have two websites, where to look for it?

regards

The latest version of nXtRender for Revit - Version: LK15 can be downloaded at this link:

Note: Build 326 will work with older versions of AutoCAD. But the new Layer Material Schemes will only work with 2010 or later.

We will be converting them back to older versions.

Was ist denn jetzt genau alles in Build 329 neu?

Sind auch neue Feature hinzu gekommen?? Habe bis jetzt nichts gefunden.

Wann gibt es mal ein neues Build für nxt????

Alfons

i already sign up one year subscription, but i didn't see any new input.......??

"0295 is up, includes scale factor for preview image and stop after # passes.  Haven't gotten to New light channel option in Lights interface yet.  Check it out if you have a chance (no worries if not.)"

"Yeah-- I understand.  I just think you may find you have a similar problem in this new engine with trying to estimate how many passes will be good enough.   That can vary a lot. You're always going have some error, allocating…"

"The problem is when I'm running several renders over a weekend. How will I know how much time to allocate to each one? I wouldn't want them to run for the same amount of time, as one may over-cook to no extra benefit, while another is…"

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Roy Hirshkowitz's discussion AccuRender Studio
"It's an easy feature to add, but I'm pretty sure with this new version you'll find a time constraint to be more reliable.  The rendering below is probably done already, with a noise filter, or close to it."

Peter Milner replied to Roy Hirshkowitz's discussion AccuRender Studio
"I suspect it will take a lot longer without the noise filter. These similar renders ran for 5 minutes each. nXt performed 127 passes and Studio performed 344 passes. Incidentally, is it possible to set a render running to a certain number of…"

"Pretty much the only thing sacrificed has been the sandpaper bump, and even then only in certain circumstances.  Everything else is preserved nicely including any random noise you add to color maps. Hard to say on performance without the…"
