AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

good morning to all
I have a problem: I have to do the render of a rose (see picture) only that the mosaic is placed in a radial manner, and not square (like all ceramic materials present in the library nxt)

has anyone had the same problem? how can I solve it?

also attach a photo of similar du rose window in which you notice the radial arrangement of the elements ceramics (I did a little sketch of how they might be willing)

This is what i would do. Make a procedural tile map from your texture. Draw one of the slices in the circle and quickmap the map on the slice. Use the polar array command in autocad and as a result, the mapping on every slice will be correct(first picture). You can also make a texture from the procedural map, bend it a little in PS and use it in the same way as a decal (second picture). This way the spread of the tiles seems a little more natural , but with the first method, you have more control over tiles, joints, reflectivity, bump...

perfect, it was what I wanted to do. Now I try the procedure you described, thank you!

"Interesting.  ArStudio has its own WalkAbout-like feture, it's the little camera button.  If you do it while the preview is running you should see the view changes automatically in the rendering."

"I'm having trouble getting the desired view in Studio. I've tried setting the view in nXt walkabout and then using that to set the AutoCAD view. However, when I render from Studio, it gives me something different (see images below)."

"Sort of-- nXt has a hard-coded max of 32 but you get diminishing returns before than point.  If you go beyond 32 they can sometimes be used, depending on the load.  I guess I would still think of 32 as a practical limit. ArStudio should…"
