AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

This is the first preview of the new nXtRender Batch.

You should only try this if you are adventuresome, and willing to make your way through some undocumented stuff. and not get mad at Rich and I if some things are not working properly.

If you want to try this, you can download it from here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/em8aq6v0535r8j0/nXtRender_AC_Batch_MB...

And just install it.

This is Beta Test Add-on to nXt and AutoCAD at this point. Later it will be integrated into the nXt install. It should work with most recent versions of nXt. And it should work for AutoCAD 2010-2014 (We haven't tested every possible combination yet)

After downloading, you will get a .ZIP file with a message like this:

Click on the message to install it.

New Ribbon

After installation, a new Ribbon should appear in AutoCAD

Racecar

The Race car loads the nXt sidebar menu (the same as typing in nXt).

Help Button

The ? loads an about box:

(The 'Synch Options' button on the bottom will import some settings made while rendering, but not material changes (yet) from the nXtRender Batch Renderer)

Render Button

The green button will extract your current model and save it to the disk for use with the Batch Rendering process.

After Extract, the Batch Renderer will load as a separate process with this dialog:

You can set the render size, number of passes, etc.

And then start rendering.

I will add more documentation here later, but for now you may need to just try some things out.

The problem might be caused by something in the model that we didn't account for.

Could you try a new drawing with just a box in it?

If it works with the box and not your model, is there any chance you could send me that model?

If it's small enough, you could just email it me at

rich.hart@renderplus.com

Otherwise, go to this page:
http://www.renderplus.com/htm/uploads.htm
and follow the instructions, to send us a large file.

You are rigth, I run NxtRenderBatch on a small model and I had no problem on it.

I sent the previous model by Renderplus upload site.

Any plans to bring the program to the Mac Platform? I could see this as possibility with both AutoCAD and SketchUp on the Mac.

One other idea, I know this is a work in progress... However may I suggest a clean consistent set of icons on your applications toolbar. Currently your icons appear to be borrowed from several different applications over the course of several years. Attached is just one possible solution... Cheers!

Wow! Thanks Daniel. You don't happen to have those, available as transparent .png images do you, (or the entire toolbar as one image) (and I am hoping you will give us permission to use them)

What we do from time to time, is submit a project to Crowd Spring to design the icons. (Rich and I are probably better programmers then artistic designers). But then whenever we need a new one, like the filter icon, we just grab one from the we somewhere.

I will send them to you via private message... They are free to use.

Thanks Daniel, we will implement most of these (I might be better to find a different orbit icon), and we need two colors for the render icon (green to start and red to stop)

I can change the colors (and symbols) I agree with the orbit, while technically it is 'orbit' I'm not sure it conveys the same bidirectional feel of the sketchup icon. I'll actually throw something together for you that is in the same style as these others for your use.

I  just sent you a private message for the Green go and Red stop icons.

UI editor/mapping  would be another out of AutoCad process that could be explore in the Batch Render for impporting back to autocad for accruender to render.

Want to add some details about what you have in mind?
