Decal attachment to round object

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me as to how one can attach the round MUSGO logo to the face of the round globe I've created. I'm going to add a light on the inside of the globe, but wondering how to attach the image so that it will illuminate on both sides. Imagine the globe on top of an antique gas pump and you'll understand what it is I'm trying to accomplish. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Better to make the logo a material and map it to the globe/sphere. As for illumination check glow under the transparency tab of the Advance Material dialogue.

I typically insert the image using autocads tools,place and scale it, then use the corners to apply the square to a round object, then delete the graphic
