advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Does anyone know what setting to change in Autocad 2013 to prevent the following?
Attaching a decal, I generally work in one of the isometric views because you can see all 3 points needed to place the decal: Lower Left Corner, Upper Left Corner, Lower Right Corner - right?
After I select the Lower Right Corner, AutoCAD switches to the face-on view corresponding to the orientation of the decal (for example front view if it was applied to the front face of the solid), then after I "accept" the placement of the decal, AutoCAD switches to Top View.
Nothing like this happened in AutoCAD 2010. I'm guessing this isn't caused by Accurender because it also happens intermittently when modeling.
Anyway, any insight would be most appreciated. I apply a lot of decals.
Thanks,
Ron Eddy

Probably you are clicking on the view cube or wheel without knowing an thus changing to the view/ face you click on.
It sounds like you have dynamic UCS turned on.
It's a hateful thing. Turn it off.
Set UCSFOLLOW to 0.
UCSFOLLOW it was! A system variable carried in the drawing.
Thank You SO much! It was driving me insane!
You're welcome! That variable is just as annoying as the dynamic UCS.
