I know I've asked this before, but would it be possible to add a "Rotate image 90 degrees" button to the material editor? In some mapping situations I need the texture to run vertically and in others,…Continue

I'm trying to send an animation to the RenderFarm.I would expect that each frame is sent to a Farmer node, rendered and saved in the shared folder. However, this doesn't seem to be the case.On this…Continue

Roy Hirshkowitz replied to Peter Milner's discussion Animation on Farm
"Yep.  It's a compromise-- for most people batching them together make them much more efficient in terms of time / frame.  The time it take to send the data around and loading it in can be significant for most animations.  Things…"

"I tried 90 frames and it split it into 5 tasks. The trouble with this is that if anything goes wrong, or you need to interrupt the rendering process, you lose lots of renders rather than just 1 or 2."

"I'd have to check, it's been a long time since I looked at this, but I believe it bundles a bunch of frames together (perhaps packets of 16?).  Try a hundred frame animation and see what you get."

Peter Milner replied to Sampdoria's discussion 4-Core or 6 Core?
"Basically I use a very crude but effective method for determining the fastest machine for rendering: multiply the number of cores by the clock speed. So 8 cores running at 1.6GHz would be roughly equal to 4 cores running at 3.2GHz. It's not…"

Peter Milner replied to Sampdoria's discussion 4-Core or 6 Core?
"With rendering, the two main factors are number of cores and speed of processors. 4 cores running at 3.0GHz will render roughly twice as fast as 2 cores running at 3.0GHz. So if your 6 core option runs at the same frequency as your 4 core option,…"

Could you pull out the furniture in, "Fulcrum CE 05" save the file and share? I like to see how you treat your lights?

hi peter milner,I just have a look of your photo. I need your advise for the photo camera point. As I know Autocad only have 2 point instead of 3 point. But I saw your photo vertical line is straight. How to do it?
