AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Clicking on the Bluetooth icon in the system tray shows one of the options, "Allow  a Device to Connect" as greyed out, meaning I cannot connect any new device apart from the which was installed before this occurred.  Unfortunately I do not know how this came about or how I can undo it. It is now the situation on both my laptops.

Try going to Control Panel-->Hardware and Sound-->Add a device

I believe Windows will only allow you to install a device automatically that is actually plugged in. That does beg the question as to why you have the option to 'add a device' when it's Bluetooth.

This is not working either, The PC is not found neither does it see any other Bluetooth device.

Interesting. I found this on Microsoft's site. See if it helps.

I have gone this route on the Windows 7 laptop and the situation remains the same. While on Windows 8 laptop I cannot even get to the settings option of the Bluetooth.

Well that doesn't surprise me on W8. You need a big shovel to dig deep into W8 to figure things out.

My limited knowledge on Bluetooth has been exceeded at this point.

That is as far as I know too. Thank you very much but in my case am beginning to suspect a virus, as this is happen on two different laptops. The first on my Win 7 and now on my new Win 8 laptop.

File are common as I have to transfer the files from the old one to the new one.

Once again thanks for your help and time.
