direction woodtexture
Anyone knows a way to turn the direction of a wood texture.
In every wood texture there is missing an option to rotate.

Sorry for the miss understanding.
With a bitmap (texture) I know the way.
What I ment was the generated wood texture delivered with Nextgen.
In there there is no rotation option.
Maybe your second solution will help?

Marc's second solution, use of Mapping, is recommended for this. The Quick Mapping option is easiest.
