AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

How do you get accurender nxt to render the select views from your cameras?

I got the walk about and  selected my view, but i would not render it.

Also I keep getting
"Unhandled exception occurred in  a component in you application.  Attempted to read or write protected memory.  This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt"

Does this have anything to do with this being a trial version. I wanted to see the program render before I purchased it, but I can't even get it to render.  Please help!

ROY could givew the correct answer, but for the first question. Press the foot icon (walkabout window) then select the autocad view from the list. In this window you can adjust the camera, pan, distance, etc.

About the error message , in my opinion , nothing to do with the trial version. Maybe you can try to download the demo agian and reinstall. Which OS and Autocad version are you using?

Sorry for my poor english.

Regards,

Alejandro
I have windows 7 on a 64 bit computer. I got the walkabout icon to open a few times but it would not render, otherwise the icon will not open because it has that error message. I have a very very heavy model with a lot of detailing, could that be the issue?
With a 64bit system you shouldn't run into limitations due to drawing size or complexity.

Try a simpler model first, just to make sure everything is working in your installation.

Next I would try your large model without WalkAbout. Set the view in AutoCAD and press the render button. Let me know what happens.
I just build a small cube model with assigned materials, the walkabout button worked perfectly and it rendered right away, however not from the camera.

I flipped to my model, the render will not even raytrace once, the rendering from the small model will not leave the render screen when I pull it up. Also walkabout still has the same error and will not open.

Yesterday it did what I think you were talking about, I rendered it without walkabout so it did a birds eye view
If you're willing to send the model, I can take a look at it. Large files need to be exchanged using a special upload link:

Zip up any required files and use roy@mcneel.com when prompted for a recipient. Include any special instructions in the comment area.

To render from an AutoCAD view or camera using WalkAbout, select the view from the pulldown list at the top of the screen.
Gmail says it cannot attach it because its larger than 25 MB. Is there another way to send it?
just clicked link, using that now

This is what I did so far--

(1) Loaded the drawing
(2) Switched to Model Space from paper space (this step may be the cause of your problems.)
(3) Type _View and selected Camera 1
(4) Clicked Apply and OK
(5) Adjusted the camera forward a little (your camera stuck me inside the wall) by using the scroll wheel on the mouse
(6) Rendered.

I'm going to try WalkAbout now to see if there is a problem.
Here's with WalkAbout (I used the pulldown at the top to grab Camera 3)-- the ceiling tiles appear now-- layer 0 was turned off which wreaks havoc with blocks inserted on that layer. There are some additional problems with the model but it's beginning to look OK.

So I did check-- it looks like WalkAbout crashes if the paper space (Layout) view is active. This is a bug.
Thank you so much, I got it to appear on my computer. Should I delete my my viewport on paper space? Again thank you for all the help
It's not necessary to delete the Paper Space view-- just start from Model Space. I need to fix the crash bug.

The model does have some additional weirdness-- I think the ceiling lights and the ceiling tiles are interfering with each other. I'd move the ceiling lights down a bit so they're not being blocked. I'd also start with a Lighting Preset when you're first getting going in nXt....

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
