AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello All,

We have just taken posession of a new server purely to use for rendering.

The specs are - 2x Quad core Xeon 5450, 36GB RAM, 1TB of 146GB RAID 5 10k RPM drive HHDs - Win 7 Pro 64bit no Antivirus or other software loaded except OS, CAD and nXt

We have just started a render at the 5,000,000,000 pixels and to be honest it doesn't appear to be any faster than when it was running on a 32bit WinXP, Core2 Quad 2.66Ghz, 4GB, 7200RMM HDD Machine.

Are there any tweaks or changes we can make to utilise more CPU / RAM in the new machine?

Thanks

Tony

Nope.  You should see a nice improvement.  Check the Pixels/Second statistic for your best comparison.

Thanks Roy,

We have seen no dramatic improvement in rendering speed however we are able to render several models in parallel so I guess you could say we can do more in the same time!!

What do you mean you are able to render several models in parallel?
