AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi guy,

I have this model done mostly with 3Dfaces but the render shows strange white lines in the corners where surfaces meet. Does anybody have an idea on how to solve it?

Thanks

So the grass is generated with XFrog as well?

No Roy, it's a displacement material. I can upload if you wish, but it's 15 Mb.

I don't need to see it.  I suspect it's much higher res than you need.

You're probably right, but it's part of the entire garden outside. Maybe I could split the model in order to render sigle rooms and then assembly the building with xref.

I wouldn't bother.  15 MB is pretty high-res for a bitmap, though.  You may be able to get by with less.

I actually realized right now that the textures I used for that were around 200 dpi resolution, so I put the res down and now the material is 5 Mb! Thanks Roy!

dpi is meaningless without the overall texture dimensions.  Textures in excess of 1 million pixels (for example 1000 x 1000) are rarely required.

Thanks Roy. by decreasing dpi I also decreased the dimensions in pixel.

Roy, I'm going through path tracer and the grass appear like combed. Without path tracer was looking much more realistic.

Upload the drawing if you want me to take a look.  I have found a few problems with displacements.

Ok Roy, I'll update it on monday. In the meantime, I'll try to render just the grass without context and see what happens. Thanks.

Haven't found anything wrong so far.  The Path Tracer may be a little more sensitive to aliasing along the tile boundary.  The version I'm working with does a little better with displacements anyway. I'll release it soon.  Here's KSL's displacement grass which works a little better than yours here.  Give it a try.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More

This is a remake of one of Peter Milner's scenes. I dont have the file. I photo-matched it in sketchup and rendered in nxt render for autocad.I just retouched it and increased the resolution.
