Roy i will run it and check the alpha transparency, just to be sure

I bet the red glass is related to the alpha transparency issue as well.  You can tag the object as "No Alpha Transparency" and see if that makes a difference.

It's also pretty hard to compare the engines unless your scene is identical.  The exterior stuff present in the first example can greatly alter the light paths in the rendering.

I'd have to look at the material to be sure.  I wonder if I implemented self luminance in that engine? (I think so, but I'll check.)

Roy, i have run the same image on HYBRID for 2hours and 40 min =295 pass

you can see from the image the Hybrid render engin strugles with coloured red glass and the the painting on the right. Is there a reason to why the image on the TV set is lighter when you path tracer than Hybrid?

Thank roy,i will give it another run on the Hybrid and we can compare.

It's really nice work-- but obviously may not be practical for you.  If you get a chance, try the Hybrid engine and see if it does any better.

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"Sorry, do not exactly how to do it right. If i sent you one or  sets, could you "compose" one material as an example? Maybe this is interesting for others too.."
