AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I don't get a chance to do many interior renderings so I would greatly appreciate any constructive criticism.

as Jan already mentioned, i would also not mix sunlight and artificial lightning. i would brighten up dark areas with a softbox, like photographers do (be careful, because of shadows).

beside that, i would rise the position of camera up. you have corresponding lines between the front-table and the sink. some irritating thing.

so, what happend in this picture, step by step: i sharpend a little bit. matched the white-balance to get rid of the red touch (i do this in every picture). checking levels and adding some small s-curve (that allowed me to darken wood and almost fix the green tint). fake volumetric fog with some noise at the window. vignette to give more focus. colorbalancing for shadows and highlights to get some depth and rise up reflection of floor. some small curve again to brighten up whole pic. finaly desaturating cause of the curve. and because the two lights are on, i added some yellow bloom there.

here are the layers:

Jelena... any help would be appreciated so please feel free to grab the picture....

Jan... I changed enginers to the Hybrid and that helped alot specifically with the way light is handled on the ceiling.  Thank you for the compliment on the exteriors! However, I see some of the interiors that are produced by NXT and I feel that I am way behind on this. It's a completely different animal then the exteriors and techniques that I am just starting to explore... thank you for your help!

i have no clue where the green shade comes from either. I think you used the standard engine for this one, no? Maybe just switching to the path tracer or hybrid engine can do miracles. The overall realism will certainly benefit from this. Also there is daylight (sunlight) coming thru the window. I wouldn't mix this with the artifcial lighting, it looks unnatural too. Anyway, i would like to take this  opportunity to congratulate you with your outdoor renderings. They are superb.

"The wooden texture of the TV-Console looks quite decent. The Wallpaper on the left has an interesting structure, maybe it would look even better, if you make the texture seamless + applying a little bit of depth, e. g. with highpass - filter in PS?"

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More
