Patching with Path tracer is a no, no. With Packet Tracer yes, via the Image Editor.

Roy, can we use  render region to patch some part in an image if we use path trace?.  If we use some configuration same numbre of passes.., etc.

If not, Can we do it in the original engine?

I suspected it.

It won't work.

Thanks Michele,   I am already done with his image, but that one is a good option,  I think.

Very good image Alejandro! I wonder what could happen if you try to render just that part with render zone and than merge the result in PS...

Comment by Roy Hirshkowitz on October 31, 2011 at 10:08am

Yes-- it's the same problem.

Thanks Akin,  alot of work for this image, but I  am quite happy with the final product. The light Is coming  from  a small window between the two ceilings, is direct sunlight.  I hope Roy will find something to reduce time amd convege faster. I think is a similar problem that Akin has with the interior shot with only exterior light (just guessing)

Very very good.  The light between the ledge over the window, reflecting on the ceiling is from where?

Comment by Roy Hirshkowitz on October 31, 2011 at 8:35am

I'm working on getting the indirect component of sunlight (not skylight) to converge faster.  It was the main problem in this one.  I've got some ideas to try.
