Here are some simple steps to get the out of focus effect
1)Place your camera (35mm lens) 600-700mm from the desired object.
2)Set your view.
3)Render setting-Depth of field should be set between
0.550 -0.650
4)Set focal distance - 600 to 700 depending on how far you set your camera from the object.
5) Render

@Ignacio Gastelum Moller if your drawing settings in meters, then your focal distance should be set to 0.7meter the other should be the same figures I quoted ...anyway try it.
@ Jorge Javier Lara Dominguez ..no Jorge I did it the old fashion way in nxt software panel....I have yet to try the image editor but I shall tested next.
