AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello all

Im working on bathrooms and while I was doing that, I needed a systematic way of assigning tiling models etc.

Material Assignment

Even though I assigned the materials properly on the 200x500mm tiles, I still had to make an adjustment in the X-Offset to get the tile pattern right. However the Left wall tiles are now offset. How do I solve this issue?

Lighting

Im still not used to the Interior Lights issue in Nxt. I would like to get good old Recessed Light Light (Glow/Fall off?) on the Wall similar to my AR3 Renders. I realize I will need a fitting. Can

someone help me set on in this file?

Type of Lighting

What light unit would be good for this? Spot or Area Light with Diffuse?

Thanks and regards

Birdman

Sorry forgot to attach problematic Material Assignment render.  I forgot to add, it looks perfect in the shaded preview before rendering.

You will have to do a different adjustment for each or opposite wall.

You properly need more passes, did this with 90 passes.

Use mapping to adjust each object-- don't do the adjustment in the material itself.  Quick Mapping is easiest.

That too works just for this is faster and easier.

As to the light here is what I got with the fixture attached earlier and spot is best for the falloff effect on walls.

Also if not using Path Tracer have interior indirect checked and use the interior lighting pre-set, IMHO it gives better result than the Studio, Pre-set.

Thanks again! :)

Akinloliu - thanks a lot for the fitting, its what I was looking for. thanks for the effort mate! Your bathroom looks great - especially the floor tiles!

Roy - This question may sound silly but when you talk about mapping and quick mapping, where exactly is this located? This isnt the Decals is it? In cases like the one Im working on, each tile is a separate entity in order to also estimate tiles types etc.

You are welcome.

Akinlolu and Roy, thanks for these tips, they really worked well including the light fittings.

Heres the end result

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
