Try using the print resolution radio button and setting the page size you intend on printing to and the dpi to your taste (do not exceed whatever your printer dpi can handle or you will just be wasting rendering time).
Looks like the WalkAbout pixel control is broken, for some reason. I'll get it fixed today. In the meantime use one of the fixed resolutions. For example 2000 x 1500 will produce a 4:3 3 megapixel image. 1350 * 1272 gives you about the same in 1.85:1.
I did go back and look at this-- it is working OK-- just subject to a few Windows anomalies. Make sure you tab away from from the control when you change the pixel resolution-- otherwise it doesn't register the change. Once it has failed to register the change it's a little confusing to get it back-- you have to change the value to something else-- tab away-- then come back to the control-- change it to what you want-- then proceed.
I'll see if there's anything I can do about this programatically.
Roy,
I got into the habit of closing the walkabout window after making any changes to the settings and then opening it again to make sure any changes stuck.
Seems like any changes made in the walkabout dialog require that you make the change, select away from the selection you changed before it takes affect.
I just fixed it programatically. It's a Windows Forms thing-- when you change something in a text box you need to tab away from the box before it recognizes the change. This happens automatically now (in the next build, probably later today) when you hit some of the buttons-- such as the Render button.
I have two questions:
AR4 walkabout in the screen, it was possible to adjust the view with the navigation buttons and get a view very close to the photo of the site with the inclusion of the project photos.
NXT where I find these buttons?
have been eliminated?
then I noticed another thing: if you set a clipping plane in autocad, walkabout in the window I get the same view, but how do I go to do the render, remove the clipping plane, and I see everything that is in front of the drawing.
Use the keyboard cursor keys-- I believe Page Up, Page Down, Shift and Ctrl also work. I need to document this, I've been meaning to for a while.
AutoCAD clipping planes are not supported yet-- they'll show up in WalkAbout but do not clip in nXt. It would be pretty easy to add them.
You can add an arbitrarily oriented clipping plane using the Widgets menu-- these have the reverse problem-- they clip in nXt but do not show up in WalkAbout (nothing I can do about this one.)
