AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

The areas affected by these artifacts were subtracted from the solid cylindrical structures with swept polyline path. I tried to upgrade to the latest version of NXT, but the result is the same. I use 64bit Windows7, Autocad 2011, 8GB, I do not understand the cause! It's a bug? Any ideas ......

Sometimes, it happen when you have 2 or more solids, faces, at the same place. But the artefact is not so regular.

Good modelisation!

Sure, I had never encountered such a geometrical artifact. Relieved or reduced by changing the perspective ... I have no idea ....

Thanks Marc ..
This sort of thing is usually a precision problem.  Make sure your units are correct and that the WCS origin isn't too far away.  Other than that I'll need to take a look at it.  Use the upload link.
I moved the model close to the point 0,0,0.

I put nxt to work and continues to generate artifacts in the same place, depending on where you place your perspective, the artifacts are more or less ....

Attached is a picture with the detail and due to the weight of the file, I sliced the solid in the affected area and proceed to upload it for analysis .....

Thanks in advance

The units for this model is listed as millimeters (_INSUNITS=4), yet it appears to be drawn in meters. This could be the source of the problem.  Try changing the units to meters.

Also-- FACETRES is set to its default of 0.5.  You can try a value like 2 or 3 to see if it makes a difference.

Hi Roy, sorry for the late reply.

I modified the value _insunits 6 (meters). _Ddunits Are also in meters. Facetres in value 5. I uploaded the value of e _Isolines _Splinesegs.

The result is the same. The artifacts reappear. The problem is always solid cylinders or
revolutioned splines,   any other ideas?

Thank you again...

I wasn't able to reproduce the artifacts here.  If you want to try again, you need to send a model with the correct view required to reproduce.  Make it a WalkAbout view with fixed resolution (not viewport) so my screen will exactly match yours.

"Good day, I searched the former forum posts and found another option to solve this  problem which is another plugin to autocad-----AUTOMAPKI.  You can give it a try."

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
