AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello everyone,

I'm a long time Accurender user.  I have an essentially simple model that has a few objects that are blocks.  The objects are not rendering at all.  They only render when I explode the blocks.  does anyone have an idea what the issue may be?

Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alex

Try inserting them ie the blocks as X-Ref, but from my experience with blocks they render well.

Can't find anything wrong with your test drawing.  Let me know what you think you should be getting.

Thanks Roy,

What version of AutoCAD are you using?

Thanks

Real close to the Randel / Premier Brass unit we use.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  Perhaps I should have specified that I'm using AutoCAD 2008.  I still have Accurender installed and the version of nXt that I'm using is the stable version not the latest beta.  Perhaps there's a particular small setting I'm not aware of?

Again, Thanks for all the help.  I like this forum and plan on sharing some of my past work.  I'm eager to hear some feedback.  I haven't really had many peers to bounce ideas off of.  I'm looking forward to it.

First things first, I have to get pass this little annoying issue.

Alex

Open the test.dwg you sent, render it, and attach the result so I can see what you're getting.  If the test.dwg is not producing the error, then use a model which does.

Thanks Roy,

Will do... but I won't be able to send you anything until later this evening.  I will say this.  Just imagine as though anything that is a block is invisible.  Haha.  The sides, front panels and frame are all blocks that vanish when I render.

So your saying you didn't change a thing hit the rendering button and got those results?  If so, I'm just trying to determine if perhaps there's an AutoCAD config setting I should be considering.

Thanks for all the help.

I can use AutoCAD's render command along with any shade command and it renders fine.  I', wondering if I should just do a reinstall.

I get 4 errors when I run the _audit command.  See if fixing these helps.  Make sure no layers are listed as off or frozen (they aren't in the one you set.)

Reinstalling is unlikely to fix this.  Which version do you have?

thanks Ron, I had done an audit before and it didn't help. BUT!!! I have determined that it is drawing specific which makes me feel a lot better. I'm using 2008.

I GOT IT!!!!  I think.  I have 2008 and 2008 (Architecture)  I typically only use 2008. I opened the model with the Architectural version and we're all good!!!  There must be an obscure variable that I have set at some point that is a conflict.  Who knows?  I don't really care!

Thanks a lot Roy for all your help!  Looking forward to sharing and helping as much as possible on this forum.  I started with AutoCAD V2.6 many moons ago and hope that I can reciprocate all the help everyone has offered.

Thanks again!

Wonder if I was even born then.
