As you get into lighting and light fixtures remember to look into the use of lighting channels. This will allow you a lot of leverage to modify the lighting post render. It will save you a lot of time balancing the lighting in a rendered scene.
Chas, he is using accurender 4. I never use ar4 but I think light channels are only in Nxt

Opps, my little translator missed that. I should have picked up on it just looking at the post.

As my daughter would say,.....never mind.

My two cent. Download Nxt. Finish you work in AR4 and loadup in Nxt and rendered. Read the online helps to balance the two, internal and external lighting starting with the presets.

Meus dois cêntimos. Download Nxt.

Licenses to nXt are currently only sold on line.

Olá Roy,

Como posso fazer o pagamento em caso de compra, se não tenho cartão internacional? Quais as opções de pagamento?

Obrigado.

You need a major credit card (or a friend who has one.)
Tagging the ceiling as no shadow and the ceiling cornice as moulding would help reduce the artefacts on the ceiling.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
