AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi guys, I am working in this project, using interior and exterior lighting, the main thing I dislike is the  sky white colour that come from outside. I can solve this issue saving as tiff with alpha channel and replace the sky in photoshop but when iI try this i lost the curtain translucency. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Roy, nice to get back the alpha channel in the translucency material
Please how many passes did you get this Peter?

Use of material channel:

  1. each material is represented by the different shade of grey
  2. Use "select by color range" to create different selection sets for curtains and glazing
  3. Combine them to paste your sky
  4. use curtain selection set alone to blur what is underneath it

...basically the same procedure as with alpha channel, only it gives you more options

I did mean, of course, blurry transparency.  The controls for the two are actually "locked together "-- once you check the box saying you want blurry transparency, changing this setting also changes the Sharpness setting for reflections.

Physically, it's meant to model materials like glass with a surface treatment, such as etching or coatings.  It may work OK for curtains in this context, since translucency does not give you any alpha channel.  Thin and IOR = 1 are important settings here.

It may also be possible to model the weave in a curtain material as a texture with transparent masking (it may not work well-- you may get some undesirable patterns.)

Thanks to Peter, Ros and Roy. I will try and post the results.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More
