AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi guys, I am working in this project, using interior and exterior lighting, the main thing I dislike is the  sky white colour that come from outside. I can solve this issue saving as tiff with alpha channel and replace the sky in photoshop but when iI try this i lost the curtain translucency. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Any idea what the round spots on the glass table are?

No idea.

Hera are two images. 1200 passes playing with light channels

Do you have caustics turned on for some of the objects?  The wine bottle perhaps?

This one would be another good model for my test suite if you're willing to share.  Use the upload link, if so.

Yes caustic was on on the wine bottle.

It's likely where the artifacts come from.  I'd really love a copy to test, now.

Make sure caustics are off for all objects unless you really want them.  (I need to add a global switch for this one.) Turning this on has a pretty dramatic effect on the rendering process.  For one thing, the internal size of the image is nearly doubled.  In addition, some extra processing takes place which may slow the rendering down significantly.  In the case of the wine bottle, you're very unlikely to get noticeable caustics out of the thing anyway.  All of this processing and extra memory are essentially wasted.

Roy, model already uploaded for testing. Thanks for all your help and cooperation

This is after 20 minutes or so with some new algorithms-- converging nicely.  640 x 480.

So the model was drawn in meters-- but the units are listed as millimeters.  I don't know for sure-- but I'm guessing that's what's causing the artifacts in the caustics algorithm.  As you know, if the units aren't correct you can't trust anything in the rendering.

On a separate note-- the curtains are an actual issue.  Apparently I'm only allowing Alpha channel for perfect specular transmission.  This is likely something I've changed recently and will prevent you from seeing color backgrounds through the curtains, even when compositing.  I'm going to change that for Build 261.  It still may require manually blurring the curtains to produce an effective image.

Hi Roy, I check ,my units  and everything seem to be Ok, I am missing something?

Hmmm.  Not sure what's up-- the copy you sent me needed to be changed from mm to meters.
Still working with translucent curtains,  Here is another view

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More
