AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

The RPC's are causing light leaks, why? Behind the building on the left, also  down the road in front on the right. This time around the leak is via a Nxt tree.

Not good at all.

Roy, I complained about the halo RPC to ArchVision and this is there response:

Hello Akinlolu,

This indicates that there are not enough ray-traces to penetrate the alpha mask. Try changing your ray-trace settings. I'm not sure where these are in Accurender, but I'm sure that it is possible to change these.

Please let me know what you discover.

How do I go about this?

You can't.  On the other hand you didn't do what I asked-- so I can't check if there's some problem with nXt or if this is a case of some problem with the RPC's mask.  Send an nXtImage of the last thing you sent (render with the orginal engine) and I'll be able to check myself.

Just done that, uploaded the nxt and autocad. Archvision also advised increasing the indirect bounce and reflective bounce, both of which I have done with out improvement.

The no alpha channel version of the same rendering spots white fireflys in some of the halo RPC,s.

The drawing you sent me is located very far from the origin.  Move it closer and see if the problems go away.

Checked it's not. As a thumb rule I alway move the origin to the centre of the model.

Yes it is.  The plan drawing in the upper left viewport is not WCS.  Once you make it WCS the origin is very far away.

For example, in the lower right viewport  the end of the wall reports the point:

X = 5796538     Y = 5498507     Z = -600

Check out and you are right, alway thought one I move the ucs to thhe centre of the model am done. Done as you have said and rendering now. Will keep you updated.

Even after the second pass no halo no firefly. You are man, will inform them at ArchVisioon too, but this is with the bounces uped so will try with default bounces too.

At default bounces to all works well. Thanks again.

nXt works with WCS coordinates.  You usually have to move the model.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More

"Those are all very nice pictures Maciej, well done! Are those renewed older buildings or new housing development?"
