AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I've gleaned from other messages on this forum and some of the lighting wiki's that setting model units has a dramatic effect on lighting.

For our international work we work in meters but set autocad's units to decimal and insertion units to unitless. This seems to work for our working drawings.

So far with nxt 3d drawings I've used the same standard, and not seen any major issues, but I'm just curious if this is having any impact (not sure if I'm seeing the results as designed). If the insertion units are set to unitless, is this in effect the same as setting them to meters with regard to how nxt treats lighting?

You're lucky-- you're working in meters (nXt's internal units) so you can get away without setting the insertion units.  Otherwise set the insertion units correctly.
