advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Greetings,
Is there a manual for nXtRender? I am looking for something that explains all the aspects of nXtRender and the Material Editor. I purchased the ebook version Rendering with AutoCAD using nXtRender and also viewed all the videos (same on both webpage and in ebook). Neither of these sources covered the various features of nXtRender in detail.
For example, I am trying to understand the Preview Scale in the Material Editor. It is simply a number. Is this inches, feet, meter, etc? AR4 had useful scales to preview the material. Then there is the scale of the texture map itself. I assume that a value of 1 shows the map without any magnification. Does a value of two double the size of the texture map? Of course I could do trial and error to figure this out, but it used to be alot more clear in AR4.
Thanks,
Jeff

All of these are in drawing units-- typically inches in the US and millimeters in Europe, etc.-- but it does depend on the settings for your drawing. Unlike previous versions, nXt uses AutoCAD insertion units. Type _DDUNITS at the command line and make sure these are set correctly. No manual, some help here.
yes ... there is a manual call:

Thanks for suggesting this manual. I had already purchased it as an ebook and found that it to be a good 'introduction' sort of book. I was looking for much more depth and detail which was not provided.
can you explain what are you looking .....
