AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Roy,

Would it be possible to move the selector for the material glow channel to the materials dialog box so we could set the material glow by material to different channels (more than one material glow channel)?

It's actually been requested from the SketchUp side as well.  I'm not a big fan of material glow so I may be pretty resistant to this.  What's your specific application?

I use material glow as opposed to making light fixture objects to try and simulate realistic signage applications in my commercial work.

The process Akinlolu has stated works but I cannot adjust the glow between different elements without going back to the materials pallette and adjusting the amount of glow for individual materials and run the rendering again. If I could assign a material glow material to select channels I could make these adjustments post render without running the rendering over and over to get the right effect.

Have you tried just tagging them as lights instead?
If I tag a line of 3d letters in a sign as lights I have to adjust each letter (light) individually based on overall size to get the lighting even from letter to letter. I don't have this issue if I use material glow.
This is a really interesting problem, actually-- I need to think about this a bit.  I'd much rather approach it from the lighting side, rather than the glow side.
What I do is, put all the materials with glow attributes on a channel and then adjust as need be. Also I enable autosave in Nxt format to I can play with the channels in the image editor as the rendering continues.

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"Sorry, do not exactly how to do it right. If i sent you one or  sets, could you "compose" one material as an example? Maybe this is interesting for others too.."
