AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hello All,

Has any one had sucess creating a non standard shaped light source such as a neon or led rope accent light that illumintes along the length of the object? I have tried tagging the object I am trying to illuminate as an area light with no success.

Thanks,

Rod

Try tagging it as an omni-directional light.  Attach a picture so we can see what you're getting.
Thanks I'll give it a shot...
I just got done working with some rope lighting. Very similar to neon except it is flexible and powered by LED's implanted in a colored transleucent tube.

Can you share the chrome/stainless steel material or the settings?

Akin,

The Chrome material is the out of the box ar5 chrome. The trick is to find a hdri that gives you the correct effect in the reflections. It's either that or model the entire surrounding area to have objects that will create the reflections to make the chrome look real.

Thanks for the information.
I did these a LONG time ago when nXt was first born (2007? Really?!?). Extruded solids tagged as omni lights.

Thanks all for sharing the images this really helps

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
