This is likely a precision problem from a viewpoint being located too far away. An orthographic projection might work better (or might not.)
This is the same model with Path Tracer off. 10 passes

It may still be a precision problem-- it's just luck if it shows up in one engine and not the other. One way for you to evaluate that would be to change projections or move the viewpoint closer-- if you get a very different answer it's precision. Some of the noise in the Path Tracer has a caustics look again-- make sure that's not enabled for the big tanks.
Hi Roy,

I made sure that no caustics were attached to the model. I will move closer and see if it changes. WIll lowering the render resolution help in this case (precision)?

It's just luck?

Rich Rosemann
No-- rendering resolution will not help.

If it's a precision problem that's happening it will be intermittent. Some times you'll get the right answer, sometimes you won't. Just luck at that point.
