Look in the galley, once you see what you want leave a comment asking for the settings.

You can also start with the default glass setting for the UI, and tweak from there to your desired settings.

Trying to reflect the background in the windows is somewhat harder than trying to reflect actual objects in the scene.  In either case, always start with an accurate glass material.  For example, start with the template glass and change the IOR to 1.55.

To reflect the background, use a good quality, spherical HDRI to both light the scene and provide the background (perhaps combined with appropriate direct sunlight.)  Put the sky on its own lighting channel so you can play with its brightness levels in case the HDRI is not properly calibrated to the sky.  Use the built in mouse-over light meter to verify that your sky values are reasonable.

Use the exterior lighting preset but change the lighting to HDRi

Hi Roy, can you explain where is the  build in mouse over light meter  an how it works.  Also another question, which are reasonable values for the  hdri?  thanks in advance

Alejandro

Sorry that should be "built-in" (I'll edit the original post.)  It's the Value fields in the status bar as you mouse-over a pixel.  It expresses the internal value of the pixel in units of candelas/m^2.

Reasonable values for sky hdri have been discussed before.  Some guidelines can be found here.

Thanks Roy.

Saludos

Me parece bien. El material vidrio es totalmente transparente? Porque parece apenas blanquito.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4. How do you avoid repeat patterns in textures for rendering ?See More
