AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Hi All,

I have a number of products I want to create renderings for and to automate the process I'm hoping to create a script in AutoCad that will basically do the following...

Insert block

Render

Save image

Delete

Render

etc...

Does anyone have any input or tips?

Thank you!

Alex

I'm about to revisit the nXt AutoLisp stuff-- what you need may already exist but I also may add a little functionality.  I'll let you know in a couple of days.

Wow!  That would be awesome!!

Much appreciated Roy.

Since nXt doesn't send a message to AutoCAD that it's finished rendering I'm not sure if I can even use a simple AutoCAD script.

Are you comfortable with AutoLisp?  If not, I can probably make sure there's something scriptable available.

It's been a while (years) since I've programmed with AutoLisp.  Scriptable would be preferred but I'll try anything.

Thank you much.

Hi Alex,

if the 3Dmodels are similar themselves, might be an idea to put them all in one file and save a view for each one. Afterwords all views render with the "batch" renderer by nxt.

(sorry for my bad english,  I hope, You can understand, what I mean?)

Hi Cadzia,

That's a great idea but in my case I have specific lighting & light artifacts in my scene.  Just like a real studio, I have lights that are set up in very specific ways around the object I am rendering.  It would not be practical to copy the scene around every object.

Thank you for the great suggestion!

Regards,

Alex

ps your English is Perfect.

Hurray for nXt AutoLISP :)
