AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I need to insert many people and children into my spaces. I have not been able to find many dwg models online and being in the Arch buisness can not spent the time to build them

First of all i hjope i am using this forum correctly. I appreciate all help and support i have received

Does anyone know the best way to get some people (especially children ) that will be able to be inserted into the model and model correctly

Turgosquid has a library but it is in .max format. They will freely convert to dwg but do not support the idea or if they will model with texture or color.

is there another format  that can be imported ?

Thank you

Marty

I believe it is called archvision. They have RPC people to insert into your drawinmg.

Thanks for the quick response

Do RPC people go into the drawing in autocad or are they selected like trees in accurender?

Thanks again

In autocad, you have to download the proper plugin for your autocad version.

Thank you all

is it an rpc   or   archvisoin  plugin?

Hi Marty enter in archvision, register, then download the proper plugin for ypur autocad version.

great   will do

Thanks

Just so you know-- RPC people are not 3d models-- they are collections of 2d pictures with transparent backgrounds.  The RPC plugin automatically selects the most appropriate picture for your viewpoint.  They can work nicely when used judiciously.
Roy, how about the idea of bring in SketchUp objects ( or even max) directly into Nxt? I believe you where once toying with the idea.
Don't think Max is possible-- SU perhaps.

There's textured meshes. The can be a little less expensive compared to rpc's. There's a bunch posted at AccuStudio and for purchase from several companies.

If you have a friend that has sketchup pro you can download at 3d warehouse, export them as *.3ds file and use nxt widget (texture mesh object) to bring it into your scene.

Amazing the amount of ways into NXT

Thanks   ill try it

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
