AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Any time I launch AutoCad 2014 64bit on Win10. I get this error.

Nxt still works when I type, "nxt" into the command prompt.

Why and how can I remove it?

I have AutoCad 2010 64bit and 2007 32 bit on the same pc but those do not launch this error splash.

If you comfortable using Regedit to open the registry, can you send me an export of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section of your registry?

I can take a look at that export file and see if there is an entry for AutoCad 2010 to run "AccuRender nXt.arx".

Let me know if you need help exporting  a section of the registry.

You can use this link to send us a large file:

http://www.renderplus.com/wp2/uploads/

The splash screen only comes up on AutoCad 2014.

I just click ok and it is gone.

When I need nxt I just type at the command prompt to launch nxt.

You are right about 350MB still uploading.

I'll take a look at the file when it gets here.

Meanwhile, I should have asked you this first, have you looked in the StartUp Suite to make sure that  the module "AccuRender nXt.arx" was not listed there?

Also, have you looked to see if there was a file "acad.rx" in The AutoCAD 2014 program Files folder that might have "AccuRender nXt.arx" listed as a module to load?

Unless am doing something wrong the file is only 2KB

That just shows the entry for the AutoCAD 2014. That looks OK.

To export a .reg file with all the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE section included, select the section, as shown below, and then export a file. Then I can search the huge file it creates and see if anything besides the AutoCAD 2007 entries point to "AccuRender nXt.arx". You can also do that yourself,  by searching the whole registry for "AccuRender nXt.arx".

Here is a screen shot

The only reference to loading the module "AccuRender nXt.arx" in the registry file that you sent me was for AutoCAD 2007, R17.0:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R17.0\ACAD-5001:409\Applications\ACCURENDER]
"DESCRIPTION"="AccuRender"
"LOADCTRLS"=dword:00000004
"LOADER"="C:\\Program Files\\AccuRender nXt\\AccuRender nXt.arx"

So I would then suspect that "AccuRender nXt.arx" is listed either in the StatUp Suite, or in an acad.rx file in the AutoCAd 2014 Program files folder. try looking in those places.

CAN WE GET PETER MILNER TO TRAIN SOME OF US FOR A TOKEN ?

Good day, forum members,I was thinking that we could each, if interested, contribute a significant token to give Peter Milner and David to train us virtually in nxt render for Autocad. Am not sure he still uses it but the experience he has spanning over 20 years cannot be underestimated. I wish the forum co-ordinators could look into this. So that more of us will produce realistic renders with the paid version of nxt render and we will be able to encourage other users of other more advanced…See More
