AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

In walk about when using the "Print" selection under resolution I input in the size of the print I want (30x42) but the image seems to process at a low quality. The image is very grainy.  It does not seem to matter how many passes I let it go the images does not improve.  How do I increase the quality of the image in relation to the size of image I am after?

Thanks, Todd

Hope the density was not at 1?

Density was set to 100.  Any recomendations?

OK, I see, I will give that a try.  What effect does density have on this?

Thanks a bunch for your help!

You should use numbers of pixel. 10x10 inch will be with adequate resolution of 150 DPI 2.250.000 pixel. It depends how much DPI you need for printing. 40x32 with 150 DPI will be (150x40 x 150x32) = 28.800.000 pixel. you will always get render with resolution of screen i think (i am not sure here, i never tryed), after this you must scale picture down, and than you will get DPI with size as you need.

Todd-- you need to post an example of what you're getting-- the image file is fine.  Render at 29 million pixels is usually a terrible idea, BTW.

As I am looking at the settings I am confused.  There is a "Viewport" option where you can enter total pixels, a "Pixel" option where you can pixels in the "X" and "Y" direction and a "Print" Option where you enter the size of the print you want.  If I pick the resolution I want and multiply it by the page size I want as you have suggested, wouldn't I then enter this in the "Pixel" option not the "Print" option?  Or am I confusing how the two work?

scale down was wrong word, sorry i am german. Just tell your software this TIF must be printed with 150 dpi, no need to scale image ;)

I figured that 29 Million pixels might be high esspecially for my old dog of a machine.  Speaking of which Autocad just crashed and I lost the image, I will try to recreate and post it for comment.  Thanks, Todd
