advanced rendering for AutoCAD
Dear Roy/Friends
I am having a problem with opening completed AR4 images jpg or tiff. The problem started since I installed newly purchased NXT 64bit. I was aiming to finish my images
in AR4 and only then try doing on NXT. So I installed and tested to see if it
is easy to use and bombarded lot of question on render setting etc. as before.
When I rendered a image on AR4 and render completed I save as usual as jpg, tiff and png just so if asked I have main formats plus tiff for printing on InDesign.
And this is where I noticed the problem, I can’t open the image to view, I can’t copy to a portable driver in order to check on my other newer computer and I am going nowhere. In
advance this may not be problems with NXT and could be problems with windows or
driver etc.
I did try with QuickTime, with adobe Photoshop CS5 no luck. I see the image icon on window, but no moving no copying and no opening. Older images before installing NXT are opening fine and image rendered after NXT is installed not opening 'Note: rendered on AR4'
I don’t thing the older PC has capability issues, i7 920, 6 GB triple channel memory 1gb GeForce 9800 GT was working before not willing to work now.
I did update NVidia drivers, I updated window 7 updates, I removed NXT from the pc none of these helped.
Have you come across this problems, one option is open for me is to take temporarily hard driver to the new computer and see if the newer computer reads the images, but I need to finish the render first.
The ‘win viewer’ comes up with message after hibernating for 4~6 min, ‘’window photo viewer can’t open this picture because file appear to be damaged, corrupted or too large to open’’ it is only 126mb jpg, 419mb tiff.
I did read few window forums but they where talking about a permission/adminstration etc to open the image, in my case no permission problems. I hope I gave good description of the problem.
Thanks in adcance

Why your images are so big?
What resolution do you render it because that they are so big?
Reduce time to resolution.
I have on my computer and installed it and AR4
it can not actually lie.

It's unlikely to be related to nXt. The two apps really don't share anything and, in general, do behave themselves when installed on the same machine. I doubt if ar4 works perfectly with Win7, there were certainly Vista issues.
Try saving a small, simple rendering and see if it works.
