Hi Marc, it would be lovely to meet you (and anyone of you folks from nXt NG) on some live chat (of course I know Steam, my kids are using it when they play COD4, CRYSIS, CSS and other blood-bath games but are talking through Team Speak. I am not participating those games as the only computer game I really like is chess :) ). For chat I personally prefer Skype (if you like, I am on-line almost all day - user name caddboss :D).

As regards the lost rendering, it was really lost. I'd left it for ~2 hours, lest the program recovers itself. But nothing happened and I'd closed it finally loosing the picture. From now on the first thing in nXt for me is to turn on auto save rendering feature in order to avoid future heart collapses :D

George, to release some steam, come on Steam game(I see you know Steam): CSS, I will be happy to have some frag with you, and, Kevin, if you play HL2, you play CSS. Akin, I don't use Unreal, but if you want to participate in the third world war that I'm fomenting, no choice, it's CSS... ;o)))

Seriously, George, do you found a solution? Or have restarted the engine?

I will go Unreal Tournament 3 but not while am rendering as that time I use setting up another view or just working on something else.

I was not playing Counter Strike when AutoCAD with 23 hours rendering in run died. Actually I was not doing anything else at all on that machine. But now I think I will ask my son to allow me to play a bit on his gaming beast C.O.D.4 to release some "steam" after that...

around 150 pass, in 4000 x 3000, don't know how much time, but less than 8 hours I believe. Hardware: old quad 9550 at 2.83 GHz, 8Go RAM 1333MHz DDR3, Win7 64bits... And playing at "Counter Strike" at the same time... ;o)

Hi, thanks all. There are 4 nXt plants, and I did the others are pasted with p-shop (plant & shadow). The grass is a texture in nXt ( no displacement, it still don't work in nXt and so, too flat for me) that I finished in p-shop (limits). Water is a region or 3D face, not tagged as "thin" but with "caustics", the water material is very simple: transparency , reflection & sharpness to max, IOR to 1.5, and a procedural rubble bump to simulate the waves. Auto is RPC and the pool floor boards are a simple texture with bump (I have forgotten the displacement). There are displacement on the stones, on the wood boards of the walls and on the pavement.

"The wooden texture of the TV-Console looks quite decent. The Wallpaper on the left has an interesting structure, maybe it would look even better, if you make the texture seamless + applying a little bit of depth, e. g. with highpass - filter in PS?"

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More
