George Ioannidis replied to OYEBANJI EMMANUEL's discussion IMPORTING 3DS AND OBJ FILES WITHOUT LOSING THEIR TEXTURE MAPS
"Hi Emmanuel, I am afraid I cannot help you any further, as I am no longer owner of AutoCAD 2014 license. So, even if you send me file you describe, it is impossible for me to do any tests inside AutoCAD. I could try to open such file using other -…"

George Ioannidis replied to OYEBANJI EMMANUEL's discussion IMPORTING 3DS AND OBJ FILES WITHOUT LOSING THEIR TEXTURE MAPS
"OBJ file doesn't care bitmaps, only the UV coordinates of each face. 3DS files can hold bitmaps externally along with the proper UV mapping coordinates. Just keep bitmaps in the model's subdirectory. You can import 3DS file using 3DSIN…"

"Good start. Glass windows need some reflections , they look too plastic and dull. What are those white lines under the building? Parking lot for skateboards? ;) Shrub fence on the right needs revision."

George Ioannidis replied to Peter Milner's discussion Workstation and render farm
"I am sure and I wish you you'll be. BTW, your nXt renders always are top notch, IMHO the best ones ever done using this considerably capable software. I have to admit I am not using nXt anymore, for quite a long time now, having developed…"

George Ioannidis replied to norton torres's discussion I GOT AN ERROR WHILE RENDERING IN AUTOCAD 2010
"I think Norton mentioned that he did the conversion using TrueView, not the AutoCAD itself. He is still on ver. 2010 I suppose, otherwise he could do renderings directly in 2018. Maybe TrueView isn't quite versionwise correct as regards to…"

George Ioannidis replied to Roy Hirshkowitz's discussion AccuRender Studio
"So why not try to reverse the alpha channel and coloured areas: convert the black areas to alpha channel and vice versa, to see what will happen :)"

George Ioannidis replied to Roy Hirshkowitz's discussion AccuRender Studio
"I see. Looks like nXt translates the alpha transparency areas of the bitmap to white colour."

George Ioannidis replied to Roy Hirshkowitz's discussion AccuRender Studio
"Can you select which colour will be the transparency map Peter? With some kind of eye-dropper maybe? I don't know, just guessing. Another thought would be to reverse the image to negative and see what happen. Again, just a guess ;)"

"Very nice rendering Chris! The only thing that distracts me is the fruit bowl. It's too evidently pasted in PS.  Another thing (nothing to do with rendering) is the microwave above the stove. I would rather expect a cooker hood there."

OYEBANJI EMMANUEL replied to N` Goraw's discussion ACCURENDER NXT FOR WALKTHROUGHS
"Yes it's possible using the walkabout feature. There is an option that allows you to pick a walkthrough spline as your camera path and there is another that makes you glide from side to side across the scene."
