nXt Demo limits

Been a longtime Ar 3 & 4 user, just checking out the nXt demo, I noticed that the menu bar is docked and locked on the lefthand side of my AutoCad window (2007) is this normal for the demo version?.

Not a demo thing.  The nXt Control Panel is a standard AutoCAD palette.  By default, I think, it's in what AutoCAD calls an "Anchored" state.  You can easily change this.  Click on the little settings icon on the bar and it should give you some options.
