AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Saludos,

Alejandro Testa

Roy, Rich. It will be  really nice to have your comments, this discussion  is what  some Nxt users feel about what´s going on  with  the program.

I've been pretty busy for the last couple of months moving home and office to a new location in Seattle-- I'm nicely settled in to my new place but there's still more work to be done at the old house.  Another month or so should do it.  Prior to that we had the transition of moving the product to the Render Plus side which is largely complete.

Keep in mind that this forum is the public face of this product.  Be careful complaining about things like lack of updates and remember that I kept costs very low and updates very frequent for many years.  Many people bought the thing for $79 and were never asked for more money despite update nearly every two weeks.  This is still a somewhat vulnerable product and these sorts of complaints may kill it.  I'll probably take this thread down at some point for this very reason.

I'd like to continue to use this product as my "lab" product-- a place where I can bring out unfinished, experimental, features for people to try.  This will absolutely require understanding, friendly users.  As always, I don't spend a lot of time with "wish lists"-- but tend to work on things that I'm interested in.  Part of the motivation of moving the product to the Render Plus group is that they are interested in wish lists.  You'll need to be patient, though.  They're also busy at the moment but should be able to resume work after the summer.

The product is great and will be getting greater. Just that folks are addicted to the continual and frequent update and it has somehow slowed down. Particularly I do do not see myself going else where.

"Found 'Textured Mesh Support' only works with obj and 3ds Files which do not contain PBR Maps. To 'obj' converted newer 3ds do not render in nXt :-("

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"Sorry, do not exactly how to do it right. If i sent you one or  sets, could you "compose" one material as an example? Maybe this is interesting for others too.."
