AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I just purchase an Archvision RPC license.

I have the path C:\RPC added to AutoCAD and NXT options-search path.

I also load the rpc driver rpcdb.dbx in AutoCAD.

I can place the RPC's into my AutoCAD scene.

The RPC's are not visible in the NXT rendering.

I have used RPC's in the past with NXT, but now that I have a RPC license, its a no go.

Any thoughts?

Try the render command in Auto Cad just to be sure the RPC's loaded well into the drawing. If it renders in with AutoCad naive render then it should in Nxt.

I try your suggestion, same result with AutoCAD native render, no RPC's.

(I do not think RPCS work with native Acad render engine anyway)

Can you ha

They do. Meanwhile do you have Dashboard installed and it can recognize your license?

I can start a "new" drawing and drop in RPC, now it renders fine.

Must be the file I was working in. I still don't understand why this particular file wont work with RPC.

Try purging and audit the drawing to repair it.

Thanks Akinlolu......... thats a good idea.

I "rebuilt" the file by cut and pasting all into a "new" .dwg.

All renders are fine now. No worries! (my client is happy)

I appreciate your input.

cheers,

Barry

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"

"nXtRender doesn't use the AO texture image settings for anything, so don't bother trying to use that. I would start use the Diffuse textures at 100% and experiment with the levels of the Specular Reflection. You might need to toggle the…"
