AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

I have been testing out the new AutoCAD 2015.  I have followed the manual install directions as provided on your download page - typed in _appload and selected the AccuRender nXt_19_64.arx (which is listed as being for AutoCAD 2013-2015) and keep getting:

"accurender nxt_19_64.arx is incompatible with this version of AutoCAD.

AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load 'c:\program files\accurender nxt\accurender nxt_19_64.arx'
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2015\acad.exeUnable to load AccuRender nXt_19_64.arx file."

I also have doubled checked my AutoCAD 2014, and Accurender nxt_19_64.arx is the file that it is loading.

Is nXtRender currently not compatible with AutoCAD 2015?

I haven't tested it yet.  Normally minor versions work without modification so this is a bit unusual.  Second report I've had.  I need to get a copy from Autodesk.

Also I forgot to mention, but I am on the trial version right now of 2015 - testing it out first before we use a license on it, not sure if this would make a difference or not.

It shouldn't.

Looks like AutoCAD 2015 is a major release (release 20).  That does break a pattern of 3 minor releases per major release that Autodesk has had in recent years, so I was not anticipating this.  Major releases always require arx developers to update their products. It's usually not particularly difficult to do this-- but I didn't have it on the schedule.  It is scheduled now and I should be able to get to it early next week.  If I don't run into any difficulties it should only take a day or two.  It will likely require a current RenderPlus license.

Thank you for the reply.  I do have a license that was purchased April 2, 2013 - hopefully this qualifies as a current license.

It may not.  Their update subscription is annual I believe turns over in January.  I'll need to talk to them.  First step is getting one that runs.

I too just installed ACAD 2015 and have the same issue. Are we still on track for a updated release of nxt for this week?

We don't normally answer scheduling or detailed progress questions.  We'll let everyone know when there's news-- including if we hit a significant delay (none so far.)

Great! Thanks for the reply.

Thank you for the quick work - the new release is working in 2015.  Also, just wanted to note that on the manual loading section of the web page it is showing to load Accurender nxt_19_64.arx for 2015 instead of the Accurender nxt_20_64.arx.

what version number would this be? I bought my license prior to Jan 1 2013 so I would typically download _nXt for AutoCAD - old build - 64 bit - Version: 0318

However this is the version that does not work with autocad 2015. Where is this new release?

It's 337, I believe.  A render plus license is required.

OBJ Plant Issue - Diffuse Maps

Hi to anyone;maybe a similar issue as Mr.Holz announced recently, (PBR Texture question):-added a obj. plant via 'Textured Mesh Objects' widget-reassigned maps (materials showed up, but with no maps attached, (although mtl. files are  in the same folder as corresponding maps and obj files)-tried to render (see 'result')So my question is: Does anybody knew about how to handle Diffuse Maps in nXt, i suspect there is no interpretation of the UV-Coordinates?Any hints and help kindly appreciated!…See More

"Thanks for your kind words. Yes, all plants are generated with nxt plant-editor. I have used leaves from Marc Chaumier's plant library. (Download/ Content + Entourage)"
