AccuRender nXt

advanced rendering for AutoCAD

Just took a look at Accustudio's web site.  It seems to be locked in a year old time zone.

Has the web site gone the way of the dodo bird, or has it just been ignored to the point of stagnation?  I wonder.

Are you volunteering to help?

Unfortunately, my lack of website experience makes my the least likely candidate to lend a hand.

Unless zero experience is a prerequisite.  Are is there less to lending a hand then I assume?

Except to contribute nxt assigned material models and material, I am not sure I can do much.

I guess that's my point, Akiniolu.   And that contribution seems to have dried up, from both AR4 and nXt users.  Everybody.  Nor have I found any updated dialog from the web page or to the web page.  Just wondering.

Add a certain proportion of jealousy which distinguishes we architects!!!

There is a "new" nXt section in the exchange. :^)

Please remember that right now there are 2 editors. Daniel and myself. Daniel has been sick for the last year. I check the site at least once a month for new contributions.

Yes, we could update the site with a new look to make it appear "current", but the site really revolves around user contributions. We've had 2 major contributors. Akinlolu and myself.

I just tried to upload a material file without success. Just upload it here. Units are centimetres.

It works when I try.  Make sure you are signed in as non-members cannot upload.

Navigate to the exchange category (ie. nXt materials) and there should be a submit file link at the bottom of the page.

Nice material! I'm adding it now

I certanly was signed in, but anyway, you added it. Even if it has the problem I've described here.

Hi Kevin

My comment was really made regarding the "quite" mode of the website, considering how active it was a year or so ago.  I understand that Daniel as been out of the picture for a year or more.

No problem Rich.

Being sick was an understatement... another year later and the site is getting a face lift. Soon there will will be opportunities for new object and material uploads.

Questions for nxt render for autocad

Good day everyone,Can anyone here help me with these issues i keep having with nxt render for autocad ?1. How do you bring in textured models into autocad ( 3ds and obj) without losing their textures or having to re-assign them.2. How do you move these objects from place to place without experiencing viewport refresh sluggishness in the autocad viewport ?3. How do you add dirt to fabric textures for rendering.4.
